Frilingue Juniors Schwarzsee
(76 ratings)
The camp at Schwarzsee (meaning “Black Lake”) is located in the middle of the Swiss Alps, between sparkling lakes, impressive mountains and their majestic peaks. At 1,047 meters above sea level, the air here is pure! A camp at the Frilingue Schwarzsee is a great opportunity for students to get out of the city and find time for themselves and to improve their language skills. Frilingue has been offering language courses in Switzerland since 2007. Each year they run camps in summer and winter for young students.
At Frilingue, German courses are on offer for non-native speakers. With students from both within Switzerland and internationally attending, this camp is a truly immersive language and cultural exchange. The Frilingue camp is a balanced mix of excitement and fun and is an enriching experience for junior learners.
Students will take classes in the morning and outside of class, there is a full activities program including sporting and recreational activities and excursions. Activities include afternoon workshops such as art (film and photography), sports (volleyball and soccer), cooking and even graffiti. These are all engaging activities to keep the student immersed in their language learning outside of the classroom. There are also additional evening activities including a campfire by the lake, a student disco, karaoke, an open-air concert and a bocce tournament. Full day excursions to nearby towns take place on Saturdays, allowing the students to explore more of this beautiful region of Switzerland.
In class, students work in small groups with teachers who use modern teaching methods to ensure a balance between fun and learning. Tools such as role playing, theater, games and use of audiovisual tools are all used to focus on improving communication skills and confidence. The teachers at Frilingue are carefully selected by the school. Teachers are not only well educated and experienced, but have experience in teaching young students.
