Our partner school, the Malaca Instituto, was founded over 40 years ago in 1971 and has become one of the most prestigious Spanish schools in Spain. The school is located just minutes by bus from the city center and walking distance from the beach for which Malaga is so popular. The school provides the perfect combination of a relaxing destination and immersive learning, and between classes, you can relax by the swimming pool, or have a coffee on the terrace at the school’s cafeteria.
The school’s modern campus is located in the hip Cerrado de Calderón neighborhood, on a hill with views towards the sea. The classrooms are fully equipped with modern facilities, including air conditioning to ensure students have a comfortable learning environment. The school has a lively atmosphere with a focus on attending to individual student’s needs during their stay. The school has a wide range of courses to suit all students. Whilst in Malaga, you can enjoy many unique elements of the local Andalusian culture, including having a go at dancing flamenco or taking some Mediterranean cooking lessons.
The staff at the Instituto Malaca organizes a program of activities for students to participate in with their peers. Events planned can include city tours, trips to the cinema and cultural discussions, just to name a few. These activities are either included in the fee students pay for their courses, or if not, they are offered at an affordable price. If students are interested in finding out more about the cultural offerings of Malaga and surrounding towns, the staff are more than happy and well equipped to give advice and help students plan their activities.
All teachers at the Malaca Instituto possess a university degree, with an average of eight years experience teaching Spanish each.
