The CLIC chain of schools is well-known for its high-quality professional language education, and the Cadiz school is no exception to this. The school provides a mix of engaging classes and an exciting activities program outside of the classroom, to make sure that students make the most of their time in Spain, enjoying their surroundings and of course, learning Spanish.
There are numerous courses on offer at CLIC, and students are encouraged to pair their language learning with experiencing the best of the local culture outside of the classroom as well. For example, within such close proximity to the beach, one cannot miss out on hitting the surf between their Spanish classes.
The school itself is located in a modern building, walking distance from the beach, in the Bahia Blanca district. This part of town is mostly residential but has many supermarkets and shops along the shady tree-lined streets. The school itself is fully air-conditioned and has a spacious outdoor terrace where students can enjoy the sunshine and take a break with their fellow students between classes.
With a full program of activities organized by the team at Cadiz, students will be busy exploring the old town, eating tapas and taking Spanish cooking or surfing courses. All of these activities are organized for students to enjoy together, included as a part of the course price. Where activities are not included, the school has arrangements for students to participate at a discounted price. For students who want to explore more of Spain and Andalusia, there are also weekend and day excursions to visit the towns of Granada and Seville, or even further, across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco.
Apart from the fun and engaging activities, students receive a high-quality education, with teachers at CLIC all holding a university degree and an average of five years experience teaching Spanish.

Despite my spontaneous decision to visit a language school, Yalea organized everything perfectly. Everything went well. I am very happy!
Overall, it was really great. The city was very beautiful and it was easy to reach other cities during the weekends. The language school was also amazing. It was very welcoming and everyone was so nice! I chose a language and surfing course. The surfing was a lot of fun. I would definitely go back!

I can only recommend learning Spanish in Cádiz!
Cádiz is a beautiful little city and it was great to be able to live there.
The location of my accommodation was perfect. I lived right by the water and a park (Plaza España), and a big plaza that was right by the city wall. It was a great place to meet people at night and during weekends to look at the sea, and because it was only a three minute walk away from the big clubs. That way it was easy and safe for me to get home late.
I had a room in a shared apartment and my room mates and landlord were very nice and always happy to help if I had any questions. My friends also told me great things about their accommodation. Most of them lived in host families where they received a meal for lunch, which was the biggest difference between their accommodation and my shared apartment. For me it was perfect to live in a shared apartment because I am vegan and could cook for myself and liked to be more independent with my daily planning. My accommodation was a 15-20 minute walk away from the school but I always walked with friends who lived close by.
The school is located at the border between the historic city center and the more modern part of the island. You could either live in the city center and walk a bit longer to school and have everything else at your doorstep or you were located close to the school but had to walk the 20 minutes to get back home at night or during the day.
The school is very modern. The teachers and staff are super nice and the group sizes are good. We were a maximum of six people in one class which means that the teacher could give every student individual attention. My schedule was from 9:15 until 13:05 with a 30 minute break. If you want to learn Spanish in a fun way, 20 hours per week are perfect because you are free for the rest of the day and can do other things. The school also offers an activity program in the afternoon and on Saturdays which you can sign up for. It is definitely worth it to participate in some of them to get to know the city (tours), experience new things (e.g. stand up paddle boarding, yoga at the beach) and to meet other students.
Cádiz has three different beaches which we often visited after schools. To buy groceries we went to the big market hall that is open every day until 2 o'clock. You can also go shopping in Cádiz but they are the same big stores that you find anywhere.
My most important tip if you are young (I am 18) is to go to Cádiz during the semester break to learn Spanish because students from all over Europe are there. We were a big group that always did stuff together, if it was to the beach, surfing or going out at night. If you are older and don’t want to be with only young people, you are better off going outside of the semester breaks.
I also want to add that everyone I asked had the same opinion that four weeks in Cádiz are enough. The city is so small (approx. 120,000 inhabitants) that you get into a routine pretty fast and after four weeks (especially with a few people the same age) it can get boring. A few of my friends continued their trip to Sevilla and did a Spanish course there which is a good alternative if you would like to learn for more than a month.
All in all, I had an unforgettable time and wouldn´t miss that for anything. Thank you so much for organizing this language course abroad for me" It really was wonderful. We are already planning my next language course but this time for English.

The language course abroad was a positive experience. Everything went as I expected. I was very satisfied. The only thing I can criticize is the size of the classes. I had a big group (9-10 people) during the four weeks but for the rest, nothing negative to say.
My roommates were very attentive and my teachers very friendly. I can really recommend Cádiz but not for a longer language course because the city is very small and it can get boring. Four weeks were perfect. :)
