Since its foundation in 2003, Nueva Lengua has steadily grown and now has three language schools in Colombia: Medellín, Bogotá and Cartagena. As the three schools structure their courses in the same way, you can easily move from one city to the other without breaking the flow of your language course. Why not see more of this beautiful country while learning Spanish by beginning your studies in Medellín and then continuing in Bogotá or Cartagena?
Nueva Lengua Medellín is located in El Poblado, a prosperous and safe residential area just ten minutes away from Park Lleras, an area known for its great cafes, bars and restaurants. During the last 100 years, the area has become increasingly popular and is, as a result, very well served by public transport so from here you can easily explore the whole city. The school is located in a spacious house which has a garden and a pool. Water, coffee, tea and a microwave are available for student use.
Nueva Lengua Medellín’s courses are given in small groups so that each student is given personal attention during the lessons. In each class, any learning issues are discussed before the lesson begins and students are given a weekly test to evaluate their progress and ensure they are in the right class for their language level. All Nueva Lengua teachers are native Spanish speakers with a teaching degree and several years of experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
To give students an insight into Colombian lifestyle and culture, free dancing and cooking classes are included in all group classes and contemporary Colombian topics are covered in the Spanish lessons. The school also organizes various extra-curricular activities for its students, including exploring different parts of the city, visiting nearby towns such as Pueblito Paisa and Guatape, graffiti tours, market visits, trips to national parks and much more.
