French in Normandy has been offering high quality French lessons in a friendly environment since 1992. Lessons are offered from Monday to Thursday, with Friday being held as a revision day when students are evaluated in role plays and tasks. This enables students to track their progress on a weekly basis and allows the teachers to better focus their lessons on their students’ learning needs.
The Intensive Group Course combines morning lessons and afternoon workshops focusing on local life and culture. This enables students to immediately put into practice what they have been learning with their teachers.
For students wishing to take the DELF/DALF exam, French in Normandy has a strong track record for succes, with 99% of its students having passed the exam since the school's first exam preparation course.
French in Normandy is located in the Jardin des Plantes area of Rouen, very close to the city's beautiful botanical gardens. The lively shopping area St. Sever is a sort walk away and the old town and main historic sites are a 40-minute walk across the river, or can be easily accessed by metro or bus. The closest metro station to the school is Garibaldi.
The school is housed in a 19th-century one-storey brick building. After lessons, students can relax in the student longue and play table football or browse the selection of newspapers, magazines and tourist information.
French in Normandy organizes a weekly activity program including cooking lessons, museum visits and weekend excursions to Paris, various châteaux and the coast. A welcome tour of Rouen is offered for free and additional activities are available for a small fee.
All the French in Normandy teachers are qualified to teach French as a foreign language. Regular staff training ensures a very high standard of teaching.
