IFALPES Annecy

IFALPES is a French school situated in the French Alps, 40 kilometers from the French/Swiss border. The school provides a high quality level of French education and is accredited by various institutions including the International Association of Language Centers (IALC) and the French as a Foreign Language Quality label (Qualité FLE). For over 20 years, the school has attracted students from all over the world to learn French in its welcoming atmosphere.

The school itself is well located, just 5 minutes from the city centre, and 15 minutes from Lake Annecy. The building features a small yet comfortable garden in which students can relax between classes, or in the winter time, admire it covered in snow. There are also kitchen facilities in which the students can prepare snacks. Additionally, some of the school’s facilities are shared with the Pigier Creation beauty school, where students can combine beauty courses with their language classes. 

The IFALPES team provides a personalized learning experience for their students, including interesting programs throughout the year. Activities include hiking in the mountains, visiting the lake, food tastings and ski excursions during the winter, all of which are great opportunities to practice French! Most of these activities are either included in the course program or offered at an affordable price.

All professors at IFALPES are native French speakers and hold a diploma in teaching French as a foreign language. The school is also certified as a TCF (test de connaissance de français) centre.
