Torquay International School is a language school in the South of England with over 40 years of experience in the teaching of English to students from all over the world.

The school can be found in the bayside area of Torquay, famous for its beaches and comfortable climate, just minutes from the city center. TIS occupies a cozy two story house, with completely equipped classrooms and a lovely spacious garden, a volleyball court for all students to use and a large wooden terrace where you can get together and relax with your classmates in the sun or have barbecues after class.

The school is characterized by its diverse course offering for students of all ages and with different learning goals, focusing on the individual needs of the students and guaranteeing personalized attention from all school staff. This encourages students to improve their English by practicing in diverse situations, like exploring new places and discovering new cultures with classmates both inside and outside of the classroom. All TIS professors are trained with a CELTA certification and have experience in teaching of English as a foreign language.

The TIS team is dedicated to assisting their students to have the best time possible, and as such have organized a weekly activity program which varies depending on the climate, ages, and tastes of the students. You can participate in this activity program as a part of the course price, or at an affordable price for TIS students. Some of the typical activities include water sports, exploring the city, visiting restaurants and bars or more substantial excursions including visiting the city of Bath and Stonehenge.
