Genki Tokyo

(97 ratings)

The Genki Japanese school chain was first established ten years ago and has had much success since. One of the schools is located in the exciting capital, Tokyo and the second in the friendly city of Fukuoka, both of which give students ample opportunities to discover this fascinating country.

An exciting part of studying at Genki is the ability to learn more about Japanese culture through the school’s extracurricular activities program, including both traditional and pop culture. Students can participate in tea ceremonies, calligraphy, and manga drawing workshops or try origami, martial arts and have the opportunity to try on traditional costumes. The school also organizes visits to museums and temples. Students can participate in all of these activities as a part of their course price or at a reduced cost for Genki students.

The Genki Tokyo school is located in the heart of the city, just a few minute’s walk from the busy Shinjuku train station. From the Genki building, you can see the Hanazono shrine and its red gates which you need to pass through to arrive at the school. The school is well located near restaurants and convenience stores yet the classrooms are still quiet and peaceful places to study. Located in a modern building, the classrooms are bright and welcoming.

All teachers at Genki are native Japanese speakers and have undertaken a course in teaching Japanese as a foreign language.
