Known for its incredible crescent shaped beach, Playa Flamingo is a peaceful and beautiful destination for your Spanish course in Costa Rica.
In this small village, life centers around the beach, with a combination of luxury hotels, villas and water sport activities spread across its mile-long sands. Although there is no town centre or night life, Playa Flamingo is a great base from which to visit the larger neighboring villages of Brasilito and Portero, as well as the many other beaches in the Guanacaste Province. The Parque Nacional Marino las Baulas, one of the world´s most significant nesting sites for the endangered Leatherback Turtle, is also very close by.
During her language course in Costa Rica the Swiss Olympic snowboarder Najda Purtschert travelled with Yalea Languages and Sudden Rush to Flamingo to learn Spanish and to improve her surfing skills. Find out more about her trip and get inspiration for your own language learning adventure!
