The Centre Panamericano de Idiomas (CPI) in San Joaquín, Heredia offers high quality Spanish courses in small groups and in private classes, all at reasonable prices. Outside their lessons, students are also offered a wide variety of activities and, once a month, the school holds a “cultural weekend”.
CPI has three schools in Costa Rica that follow the same teaching methods. You can take Spanish lessons in different towns but, as all of your classes are with CPI schools, you only have to pay the registration fee once. Why not start your Spanish course in Heredia and then continue in Playa Flamingo or Monteverde? This is just what Nadja Purtschert, a Swiss Olympic snowboarder, did during her trip to Costa Rica with Yalea. Find our more about Nadja's experience here.
CPI is located in San Joaquin de Flores, a suburb of Heredia. The modern school building is surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden. Lessons take place in one of the 30 classrooms that are spread over three floors, and there is also a basketball pitch and football pitch.
The school's team organizes a daily activity program including dancing and cooking lessons, football matches and visits to neighboring villages. Some of these activities are free and others are offered at a reduced price. The CPI staff can also assist you to plan your own activities and weekend excursions, if you wish.
All the CPI teachers have a university diploma and, on average, two years of experience teaching Spanish.
