Montañita Spanish School is known for its friendly atmosphere and dedicated teachers. The school offers a varied range of activities, enabling students to enjoy getting to know the area and their classmates outside their classes. In addition to the standard classes, students can choose to take a course that combines Spanish and surfing lessons. Alternatively, there is the option to travel to other parts of Ecuador while improving your Spanish by enrolling in the 'Travelling Classroom' program. In Montañita, you can easily walk everywhere. The school is on a small hill with a beautiful view of the town and it is only a few minutes from the beach and the centre. The Montañita Spanish School teachers all have a university diploma and, on average, four years experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Montañita Spanish School organizes a weekly activity program for its students. This may include cooking or dancing lessons, yoga, BBQs, trips to the market and horseback riding. Some activities are offered free of charge and others are available at a small cost. The school’s staff can also help you to plan activities for your free time, such as visiting Isla de la Plata (the little sister of the Galapagos), Guayaquil or neighboring beaches.
