Located on the twelth floor of a high rise building in the city area, Anne’s Language House offers a comfortable atmosphere for its students. The school itself is well located, with theatres, shops, banks, restaurants and bus transport located nearby. The building also houses a cafeteria, a student landmark where students can enjoy taking a break and sharing a meal with their classmates before and between their classes.
The motto at Anne’s Language House is "your goal is our goal", and the school aims to give each student the individual attention they require to achieve their English learning objectives. The small class sizes mean that students have the opportunity to speak and participate. This, paired with regular assessment, aids students to easily monitor and progress with their individual learning objectives. All professors are well qualified, holding a university degree as well as a certificate of TESL Canada. Additionally, most professors have significant experience in teaching English as a second language abroad.
Anne’s Language House understands the importance of using new language skills in and outside of the classroom. The team regularly organizes activities for students to participate in and practice their English skills. Visits to explore Calgary’s tourist sites and attractions are either included in the program fee or at an affordable price. There are also a variety of exciting weekend excursions including trips to the Canadian Rockies, a Drumheller Badland Tour and ski and snowboard outings. Students also have the unique opportunity to use their skills participating in volunteering programs through a cooperation between the school and local foundations such as Calgary’s Lilac Festival or the Calgary International Children’s Festival.
